Job Description The Opportunity We have a rare opportunity for a Metocean Operations Lead and Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will take full ownership of Metocean projects, including planning, execution, and delivery, as well as reviewing lessons learnt.
Responsibilities include: Coordinate logistics required for project preparation, mobilisation, and resource allocation.Lead deployment, recovery, and servicing of metocean moorings.Manage and mentor the operational metocean team.Maintain, store, and mobilise metocean equipment.Deliver all aspects of project management activities, including commercial and technical aspects, on time and within budget.Build strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring high client satisfaction, repeat project opportunities, and a reputation for delivery excellence.Support the commercial team with tender review and technical input as required.Ensure compliance with regulations and laws governing business operations.Who are we We are Fugro, the world's leading Geo-data specialist, focused on mapping, modeling, and monitoring data about the earth's surface and the structures built upon it. Our Marine Site Characterisation department specializes in marine projects, mainly within the offshore energy sectors across Australia and the Asia Pacific region and is currently experiencing high demand in the offshore renewables market. Within this department, our Metocean team is dedicated to gathering and analyzing oceanographic and meteorological data to support offshore projects. They measure and monitor various parameters, including waves, currents, water temperature, water level, wind speed, and direction, among others.

About You Your love for the elements and on-the-job experience, mixed with your proactive and detail-oriented nature, will set you up for success in this role. We are ideally looking for someone who has a strong background in project management with experience in metocean operations offshore.
