As the Metering Engineer, you will conduct a variety of diagnostic testing, calibration and reporting to both Mondo's internal and external clients in relation to high voltage energy metering installations. You will play a fundamental role in conducting annual reviews of all technical documentation, procedures and latest compliance. This role is based in Yarraville, Victoria and is part of the Metering Engineering Team.This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:Conduct laboratory diagnostic testing & calibration (Tier 1), on a wide variety of energy metering test equipment and related measurement equipment used in High Voltage environment.Testing of portable metering equipment (Tier 2) to ensure compliance to various Australian standards.Preparation of technical reports (to the various accreditation levels as required).Ensure all laboratory equipment are traceable to NMI/NATA, registered and updated in Calnet/test equipment database.Liaise with internal & external customers about the services provided by the team.Assist in developing, maintaining & expanding the laboratory testing processes, procedures & methods for the group.Work in accordance with OH&S laws and company policies.Understanding and implementation of 17025 requirements.Assist in organizing freight for all test equipment.You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:Bachelor of Science / Engineering / Experienced Advance Diploma of ESI Power Industry / Experienced A Grade Electrician with Testing and Calibration knowledge / any qualification with relevant electrical calibration and technical knowledge.Knowledge of transmission and/or distribution network compliance equipment testing methodologies.Relevant qualifications and/or applied experience in electrical testing.Experience in testing electrical equipment - current transformers, voltage transformers, secondary equipment, bridges, burden boxes.Exposure to setting up test equipment.Demonstrated experience in failure analysis and identifying methods to resolve.Understanding of NATA's role in the electrical testing environment.A real place to belong.
