About the Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as a Corporate Accountant. In this role, you will assist the Corporate Finance team operations, including monthly, weekly tasks and ad-hoc projects.
In this Role Financial management of Corporate Functions teams – including supporting the FP&A team in partnering with cost centre owners in their analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting of their monthly performance. Maintenance, management and coordination of Fixed Asset Register. Assistance with the completion of month-end reporting. Complete full month end process – journal, Corporate trial balance reviews. Assistance on taxation computation matters; including FBT and Corporate taxation. Assistance with Monthly Board Pack preparation. Identify, design and implement process improvements – including the design and review of GL account reconciliations and improving Corporate reporting templates. Review of group weekly sales report. Completion of ad-hoc projects as requested. Staff coordination and monitoring of off-shore resources. Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing assistance when requested. You're Likely a Match If CA or CPA qualification (or nearing completion). Advanced knowledge of Excel and intermediate knowledge of other MS Office applications. Experience in a corporate environment and/or within FMCG industry will be considered an advantage. Experience with D365, PowerBI, TM1 knowledge or other large accounting systems will also be highly regarded. Life at Metcash Experience a supportive and flexible work environment.
