The CSA Mine is located in Cobar NSW and is Australia's highest-grade copper mine.
We are located 11 kilometres north-west of Cobar, central western New South Wales. At 1.9 kilometres deep, it is one of Australia's deepest underground mines.
Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CSA Mine directly employs over 500 people including contractors.
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Underground Loader Operator. As an integral part of the team, you will operate loaders to transport ore and materials underground, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities: Management of the underground trucking fleet to ensure that they are fully utilisedEnsuring truck loads are maximisedRoadwork maintenance and housekeepingCorrectly identify and manage ore and wasteStrict compliance with tele-remote proceduresEnsuring tram and loading packages are maintainedMonitoring, reporting, and conducting thorough equipment prestart and shutdown inspectionsAbout you: Underground mining experience (necessity)Tele-remote experienceCurrent driver's licenceA strong commitment to safety and adherence to mining protocols.Organisational skills with the ability to set and meet daily targetsConditions:
This position will be offered on a 7/7 roster, and commute options include residential or DIDO.
Relocation costs and subsidised housing will be provided to the successful candidate to assist in relocating to Cobar. CSA also provides Pool & Gym Reimbursements to our employees and their dependants.
Candidates interested in DIDO will be provided with commute single accommodation and meals at the mine camp.
