The Role
The core role of the Technical Services department is to provide technical support to the assets to meet their business goals.
Reporting to the Senior Planning Metallurgist, this position is a 6 months fixed-term residential role, on a standard roster configuration, which can be negotiated.
The successful candidate will be responsible for: Work in a team of Planning Metallurgists in the delivery of production planning related tasks.Implementation & integration of metal accounting system with current reporting systems.Evaluation of potential feedstock for the smelter assets.Report on variance to the production plans on weekly and monthly time-scales.Conduct monthly metal reconciliations.Effective stakeholder engagement to roll out and implement production plans and metal accounting improvements.You will have the following skillset and attributes: A degree in an Extractive Metallurgy related discipline.A minimum of 3 years of experience in production, projects and planning for pyrometallurgical industries.Understanding of smelting systems and processes and their inter-relationships.Ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders.Strong data analytical skills with Excel, PI System, Power Query.Familiar with metallurgical accounting software.For further information, please contact: Leanne Kretschmann, Recruitment Advisor on 0439 875 396.
