As we continue to welcome visitors to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and share our conservation story, we have an opportunity for an experienced and qualified Full Time Metal Fabricator/Welder to support our Maintenance team and to ensure the extensive sanctuary grounds are safe and engaging for our guests and wildlife collection.
About the RoleReporting to the Workplace Operations Manager, our Maintenance team works to ensure the maintenance of projects around the Wildlife Sanctuary and other associated properties. You will ensure that all works are completed to full safety standards. The Maintenance Officer will be carrying out laboring duties including general building and grounds maintenance.
This role will require a high level of energy, health, and fitness to perform physical duties outdoors in all weather conditions, walk long distances, bending, twisting, and lifting within environments that may be noisy and dusty.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have at least 2 years' experience in a similar position. You will be a safe, tidy, friendly, and courteous worker as this is a work environment where visibility and interactions with guests is an important factor. Other key skills and qualifications we are looking for include:
