Our Client, Kalmar Equipment (Australia) Pty Ltd, is looking for a skilled and motivated Metal Fabricator to join their team.
This role involves providing high-quality workmanship and precise fabrication, which is crucial for the performance and safety of Kalmar mobile equipment and other hydraulic mechanical equipment.
You will utilize advanced fabrication tools and equipment to provide exceptional metal fabrication services.
Key Responsibilities: Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the requirements for each job.
Select, clean, and prepare metal stock for fabrication tasks.
Use hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines to cut metal sections and shapes according to marked-out lines.
Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using both hand and machine tools, along with heating and hammering techniques.
Align parts to be joined using appropriate hand tools and measuring instruments.
Join metal components through various methods such as welding, bolting, and riveting.
Inspect welds for proper bead width, penetration, and overall precision to ensure quality.
Complete the fabrication process by finishing and cleaning the products to meet high standards.
Qualifications and Skills: Relevant trade qualification for a similar role.
Proven experience in metal fabrication, including cutting, shaping, welding, and finishing.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality.
Effective time management skills Sound analytical and numeracy skills Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Excellent interpersonal skills (ability to deal with all customers and stakeholders in the business) Customer oriented and relationship building Motivating and inspiring people Ability to participate in all training and development programs Cultural sensitivity and adaptability Salary for the role is negotiable depending on experience.
