Position: Metal Fabricator
Salary: $73,150 plus 11.5% super

Role and Responsibilities
• Reviewing and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements, particularly focusing on custom solutions for equipment longevity and performance enhancement.
• Selecting, cleaning, and preparing metal stock, ensuring compatibility with abrasion and chemical-resistant lining applications.
• Utilizing hand tools, flame-cutting torches, and metal cutting machines to cut and shape metal sections and shapes accurately, adhering to precise specifications.
• Bending and shaping metal sections and pipes, employing both hand and machine tools, along with techniques for heating and hammering to fit custom design requirements.
• Ensuring alignment of parts to be joined, employing hand tools and precise measuring instruments, to facilitate quality fabrication works.
• Employing various welding techniques, bolting, and riveting to join metal sections securely, with attention to creating durable and reliable structures for industrial applications.
• Inspecting welds to ensure optimal bead width, penetration, and precision, maintaining the high-quality standards of Industrial Services Victoria.
• Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing, and applying protective coatings as required, contributing to the restoration of equipment to its original condition.
• Utilizing skills in cleaning and smoothing welds through filing, chiselling, and grinding, ensuring a high-quality finish in line with the company's dedication to excellence.
Qualifications:
• Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or relevant (not mandatory)
Other Requirements:
• At least 2 years of experience as a Metal Fabricator.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and equipment operation.
• Ability to perform precise measurements and calculations.
• Proficient in welding techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with team members
