We are seeking an experienced Messaging Engineer to join the ICT division of a government department dedicated to climate change, energy, environment, and water. This is an exciting opportunity to be embedded in a dynamic team working on the planning, execution, and delivery of services related to Microsoft Exchange Online and Hybrid environments. Key Responsibilities: Exchange Environment Support: Design, implement, deliver, and support Microsoft Exchange Online and Hybrid environments, ensuring the reliable operation of email systems.Mail Flow: Configure and troubleshoot mail flow to ensure seamless communication across systems.Email Security: Manage email security, including content filtering, anti-spam measures, and secure email communications.Compliance & Retention Policies: Implement retention policies and email compliance standards in line with the PSPF Framework.System Integration: Integrate Microsoft Exchange with other systems and applications as required.Ongoing Maintenance: Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for Exchange environments. Desired Skills and Experience: Microsoft Exchange Expertise: Proven experience in designing, implementing, delivering, and supporting Microsoft Exchange environments, particularly in government or large-scale organizations.Hybrid & Cloud Environments: Strong experience working with Microsoft Exchange in both hybrid and cloud-only environments, in line with Australian Government Cyber Security requirements.Email Security: Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Exchange email security architecture, including anti-spam and secure email solutions.Automation: Experience with infrastructure automation and implementation via Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) solutions is desirable.
