Amedical scientist must possess one of the followingqualifications:
A degree at Australian Qualifications Frameworklevel 7 awarded from a university in Australia with>70% of subjects relevant to the field of pathologyof a 3-year degreeA degree at Australian Qualifications Frameworklevel 7 with subjects relevant to the field ofpathology awarded by an overseas tertiary institutionif the qualification is assessed as equivalent to adegree accredited by the Australian Institute ofMedical ScientistsAn associate qualification conferred by theAustralian Institute of Medical Technologists before 1December 1973.
