As an HR and Recruitment Officer , you'll manage the day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and administrative tasks of the Construction Division of Meriton .
You'll also support various HR projects, contributing to process improvements and team initiatives.
Reporting to the HR Manager and working closely with the Head of Construction, you'll play a vital role in driving the Construction Team's success.
In this role you will:
Establish strong working relationships to partner with the construction hiring managers to determine recruitment and advertising needs.
Maintain a strong database of candidates for recruitment needs.
Proactively headhunt with the ability to identify key strategic recruitment activities to achieve business outcomes.
Build relationships and coach managers on recruitment principles and compliance requirements.
Build employee networks and manage recruitment drives e.g.
working with universities and foster talent pipeline development.
Ensure compliance with all pre-employment checks.
Coordinate onboarding and induction activities.
Provide assistance as HR advisor to all stakeholders.
Provide accurate data to payroll for processing.
About you
Demonstrated experience (min 3 years) in a recruitment role (internal or agency) with a sound knowledge of contemporary HR practices in Construction Industry essential; Understand and are able to stay updated on all legal requirements with construction tickets; Experience managing the employee life cycle, including onboarding, training, and offboarding; Solid understanding of general HR documentation, such as employee contracts and HR policies; Experience in creating candidate sourcing strategies and developing talent pipelines; A certificate, diploma, or tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related business discipline would be an advantage.
