About the role: An amazing time to join our Merchandise Trend & Design team as we embark on an exciting growth journey!
The primary focus of this role will be to undertake research and analysis to uncover and communicate in-depth insight across home, interiors and DIY to assist the team in the development of seasonal trend forecasts, coordinated category range recommendations and product development direction that enhances the on-trend appeal / commercial viability of our merchandise range.
What's involved: Analyse, research and identify emerging global home, interiors and DIY trends and report on how they can be commercially applied across merchandise categories
Support the Trend and Design team to execute and implement the vison in line with Range Reviews, development plans, on-going category strategies and promotional activity
Assist the team in delivering the Global Sourcing and Private Label strategies
Foster relationships with suppliers to assist in elevating product development
Who we're looking for: Our ideal candidate will have experience working across the Trend and Design Coordinator space preferably within a large retail format across general merchandise or apparel.
You will have a creative mindset with impeccable attention to detail and thrive working in a fast-paced environment.
You will have an understanding of retail marketing, merchandising, content development and advertising.
You'll need: Te rtiary qualification or equivalent degree in Interior design, Fashion Design or Graphic Design
Ability to assist with forecasting and implementing commercial and broad appeal trends
The ability to source products and prepare samples for forecast product showcases
Demonstrated experience in Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
The ability to compile research and thorough reports and evaluations
An understanding of the design and product development process
Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders to create and deliver customer centric products
