Position overview
As a Merchandise Planner at Brand Collective, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing inventory levels, maximizing sales, and driving profitability across our product categories. Working closely with our buying and retail operations teams, you will analyse market data, forecast demand, and develop strategic plans to ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time.
Utilize historical data, market trends, and sales forecasts to develop merchandise plans and allocation strategies.Collaborate with buying teams to identify product assortments and develop seasonal merchandise plans.Monitor inventory levels, sales performance, and product lifecycle to identify opportunities for optimization.Analyse sales patterns and customer behaviour to make data-driven recommendations for inventory management.Maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate pricing and terms to support margin objectives.Provide regular reporting and analysis to stakeholders, highlighting key insights and actionable recommendations.Stock forecasting, OTB management, markdown strategies, correct seasonal flow and continual store stock balancing.Skills, Experience & Qualifications Proven experience (3+ years) in merchandise planning, inventory management, or retail buyingBachelor's degree in business, merchandising, finance, or related field (desirable)Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis toolsStrong Planning, organising, leadership and negotiation skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionallyDetail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precisionAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
