This critical role in the merchandise team requires you to build long-lasting partnerships with customers and deliver appropriate advice and services using your specialist knowledge of a variety of agricultural products and supplies.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for:
The sales of rural merchandise, such as Agricultural chemicals, Seed, Animal health, Animal Management, Fencing, Water equipment, and General Merchandise. The associated management of this inventory including forecasting and planning, procurement and ordering, sales processing, logistics, stock controls, and stocktakes. Working closely with management, agronomists, procurement, and other team members to fulfil the needs and requirements of our clients and customers in a proactive and professional capacity. The management of the regional storage warehouse facility and associated logistics. Collaborating with supplier representatives to deliver value and solutions to our clients and customers, implementing marketing initiatives, with the aim of growing our business. You will analyse market trends, climatic and seasonal considerations to ensure Nutrien Ag Solutions is the first choice for service, advice, and solutions. About You: A strong technical background along with experience in pricing and margin management and sales target achievement through effective category development. Relevant agricultural industry knowledge and warehouse management experience. The ability to network and identify opportunities for business development, which will be key to your success. Strong interpersonal skills to foster solid long-term relationships with customers and key internal stakeholders, along with the ability to drive business outcomes and performance. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Exposure to SAP ERP, along with strong MS Excel skills for reporting.
