About the roleAs the Merchandise Analysis and Reporting Team Lead - Commercial, you'll lead a team of Analysts, whilst partnering with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and reporting that builds business value. You will be knowledgeable, forward-thinking, adaptable and seeking to simplify and "do things better".
Key accountabilities include: Strategic Analytics Partnering: Collaborate with commercial and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for optimization and simplifying of reporting. Translate complex data into actionable recommendations whilst defining the process.Insight Delivery: Provide timely and proactive insights to support strategic goals across commercial. Utilize tools like PowerBI and more to craft self-service reports and dashboards.Scenario Modelling: Undertake and lead the team in scenario modelling for commercial business cases, whilst managing the commercial budget process.Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the adoption and value realization of solutions.About youWe are seeking a dynamic and natural leader to coach a team of two direct reports, driving change and innovation within the commercial function. Utilizing your strong analytical skills and critical thinking, you will interpret data to inform key decisions, while also leading training and coaching with a focus on outcomes. With a proven track record of successful leadership and influence in a retail environment, you are a skilled problem solver, adept at navigating complex scenarios and driving positive change.
What you will bring:
Educational Background: A degree in Commerce, Marketing, Business Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.Experience: Proven experience in a similar analytics role with a focus on partnering and providing actionable insights. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Technical Proficiency: Expertise in tools like Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, and familiarity with SQL and data management platforms.Analytical Acumen: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively.Leadership and Collaboration: Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing cross-functional projects and fostering team engagement.Customer Focus: A deep understanding of customer needs and behaviors, with a focus on delivering insights that drive business success.Growth Mindset: An eagerness to continuously learn and grow, sharing your knowledge and expertise with the team and stakeholders.Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, capable of developing innovative solutions to address business challenges.Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, adept at presenting complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Our cultureIt's all in a day's work when you're part of the Officeworks community – where you're not defined by who you are, but what you can do.
