Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join Mercer to lead the IMPACT (Pursuits & Bid Management) team for the Pacific region.
This is a hybrid role, based in Sydney or Melbourne, that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This role combines strategic thinking, leadership, project management and communication to deliver Mercer's Value Proposition to clients and prospects across the Pacific.
The Mercer IMPACT Team sits across all solution lines and reports into the Marsh McLennan Sales Centre of Excellence, providing valuable support to Mercer's growth strategy for the region.

We will count on you to: Lead the Mercer IMPACT Team to support the growth plan, focusing on existing and new clients, cross solution line synergies and sales strategies to drive growth.Support executing strategies for new business and client retention, championing global standards including qualification and Bid Management best practice.Lead the Pursuit Team to share best practice and encourage innovation, seeking new ways to demonstrate and articulate Mercer's value to clients and prospects.Provide a dynamic approach to new business and defensive opportunities.Assign projects across the team to ensure opportunities are adequately resourced, including assigning creative resources and peer reviews.Project manage, write, revise, challenge and proofread proposals in response to RFPs.Develop an understanding of a client's / prospect's business, including facilitating and participating in internal pre-tender strategy meetings.Identify Mercer's differentiators / key messages and ensure these are reflected in the proposal / bid response, which may include responsibility for writing sections of the report.Coordinate, and challenge where appropriate, the technical insurance and risk financing inputs of the team.Challenge, Coach and rehearse teams for RFP client pitches, and support and guide Pursuit colleagues to be effective pitch coaches.Ensure applicable content and graphic libraries are accurate and kept up to date.
Bring new ideas and showcase success.Lead the team in developing and maintaining Mercer and industry knowledge.Manage the day to day needs, development and performance cycle of direct report.What you need to have: A university degree and/or a professional qualification in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field from a renowned university.Over 15 years' experience in professional services, ideally in client service, sales, or bid management.Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to changing time pressures and flexibility.Experience in developing custom strategic content and strong editing skills.Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.What makes you stand out: Strategic Leadership.
