About Us Iris Life Care is a registered NDIS Provider that focuses on supporting people living with disability and mental health. We specialise in high and complex care and offer a range of services that aim to improve the quality of care provided within the sector. We are seeking experienced and qualified Support Workers/Mentors to join in our team. We work with our clients to understand what is important to them and provide support workers who can then help them achieve their goals.
The Position As a Support Worker/Mentor, you will deliver a variety of services to participants to support them to live a fulfilling and meaningful life and to develop independent living skills in everyday life in their shared living environment. This includes provide assistance with all aspects of daily living including meals, personal care and varying skill development activities. 
You will be required to work a variety of shifts (morning, afternoon, sleepover and weekends)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications Experience in providing positive support to clients with challenging behaviour1-year experience as a support worker (Desirable)Experience in supporting people with Mental Health (Desirable)Experience in Insulin management (Desirable)Experience in supporting participants with the behaviour of concerns and/or complex medical needsCertificate III in Disability, Mental Health or Community Service or other relevant qualification (or working towards).A valid National Police Check (issued within a 3-month period) or willing to undergo a National Police CheckCertificate to confirm that NDIS Worker Orientation in completedCurrent WWVP CardCurrent First Aid with CPR certificateNDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willing to obtain oneGood written and spoken EnglishDrivers license and reliable vehicle with Comprehensive InsuranceWillingness to sign a confidentiality agreement Benefits: A friendly and safe environment for you to work inFlexible working hoursOngoing training and developmentOpportunities for career development For any queries regarding this role please email: [email protected]
