For nearly 20 years we have consistently grown and now proudly offer services nationally via telepractice and in the community across Sydney, the Hunter, Central Coast, Illawarra and Melbourne.Together, our passionate, multidisciplinary team of OTs, Mental Health OTs, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians and Allied Health Assistants collaboratively share their knowledge and experience to holistically design an individualised service to help improve the quality of life for people living with a disability or looking to age as independently as possible.Your Day to DayA clinical position with us is multi-faceted, allowing you to work in the way that allows you to be your best, whilst also enabling us to see our clients in the capacity that most appropriately matches their needs.Your day could start by working from home or in the clinic to do some reports alongside your colleagues, with afternoons spent visiting clients in their homes, group homes or aged care facilities. Working in a community role allows you to have flexibility and control over structuring your day.Our team balances working from our Toronto and Maitland offices with working from home, and this role can be either part-time or full-time. Depending on where you are living, we'll tailor your caseload to service clients around the Hunter or closer to Toronto, Newcastle. Your admin support team will work with you on scheduling appointments to ensure you aren't zigzagging around and you'll have clients to see close to home.Day to day you will support your clients to achieve an optimal state of personal, social and emotional wellbeing, as defined by the individual needs of each person. You will achieve this by working with them to identify barriers to optimal functioning through interventions that focus on enhancing existing skills, creating opportunities, promoting wellness, remediating or restoring skills, modifying or adapting the environment or activity, and preventing relapse.You will be trained to provide trauma-informed, person-centred, evidence-based interventions for people in our community experiencing moderate to severe mental health presentations including: acute and chronic psychotic disorders; schizophrenia; bipolar; generalised anxiety; depression; PTSD; alcohol and drug use disorders; mixed anxiety and depression; dissociative (conversion) disorder; sleep problems and OCD.With our support, you will become extremely competent in writing comprehensive reports based on your clinical understanding, conducting clinical assessments and implementing appropriate interventions to address prioritised needs.QualificationsApproved qualification in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration.Current driver's license with use of own vehicle.How We Foster a Positive TeamWe strive to provide an environment that allows you to bring what makes you unique and special to work every day.We value flexibility so you can fit us in around your personal life, e.g., family, sport, volunteering or another part-time role.You deserve remuneration that matches your experience plus the option to stretch for RDO's and financial bonuses if you choose.We trust you to work from home, or in the office, via telehealth and we give you a laptop and pay a phone/data allowance to support this, plus laundry allowance and uniform (where appropriate).A member of our administrative team will assist you with scheduling your appointments efficiently to minimise travel, make calls, and take messages for you whilst you're in sessions and assist with the maintenance of compliance documentation, such as setting up and adjusting funding plans.Travel is reimbursed at $0.99/km + tolls and parking at appointments.Novated leasing options.Discounted Health Insurance for you and your family plus other everyday savings on your Energy Bill, online shopping, groceries and more.An Employee Assistance Program is available to provide external, confidential support.To celebrate success and bring us together as a team, we have a fun wellbeing program that involves monthly social events such as our Mental Health Olympic Games, cooking and art classes, candle-making, trivia and barefoot bowls.Your thorough Orientation will be supported by ongoing one-on-ones with your Supervisor to discuss goals personal to you via a CPD plan.
