About us:
The Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services works in collaboration with the local hospitals, other mental health and alcohol and other drugs teams, as well as primary health, community, and private sector providers to reduce the symptoms of mental illness and facilitate recovery.
About the role:
The Co-Responder Model is designed to effectively prevent and resolve mental health crises by fostering collaboration between Queensland Health and the QAS.
This model features a dual response team that includes a senior mental health clinician and a QAS officer, who work together to provide specialised mental health expertise in the community.
They conduct rapid assessments and interventions, ensuring timely access to care and information.
This combined approach ensures that individuals experiencing mental health issues receive appropriate support, whether through psychiatric assessment or, when necessary, transportation to a hospital for further evaluation.
About you:
Mandatory qualification/s: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and/or registration with the appropriate registration authority, including any necessary endorsements, to be provided to the employing service prior to the commencement of duty.

Total remuneration value of up to $164,212 p.a.
is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
