Job Description We are seeking a dynamic and client-focused professional to provide access and intake services to young people, their families, and stakeholders.
In this role, you will: Assess clients' needs through discussions about their presenting issues, and identify supports across Mental Health, AOD, Primary Health, and Work & Study domains.
Deliver evidence-based clinical interventions to young people with mild to moderate mental health issues, using brief treatment models and single session frameworks.
Engage families and carers in treatment planning where appropriate.
Provide flexible services, including working in community settings.
Foster strong relationships with local stakeholders and agencies.
Conduct health promotion activities within the center and the wider community.
Contribute to project-based clinical work in collaboration with the Intake Team Leader and Clinical Lead.

Each year, we help thousands of young people, and their family and friends, access vital support through our headspace services in over 145 communities across Australia, our online and phone counselling services, our vocational services, and our presence in schools.  Skills required: Highly developed assessment & therapeutic counselling skills with young people - particularly single session and brief intervention skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders i.e.
young people, GPs, schools, government agencies, private practitioners etc.
Delivery of sessions appropriate to the needs of the young person and family and include in person and telehealth approaches.
Information management and technology skills including experience in the use of electronic client management systems.
Ability to multi-task, set prorities and meet strict deadlines.
Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies and issues informing health services for young people and families.
An understanding of the Primary Health Care sector along with a thorough understanding of Child & Youth Mental Health.
