About your opportunity: Fixed Term Temporary full-time, up to 09.11.2025 with possible extension not exceeding 2 years. This is a multi-disciplinary position.
Applications are being sought from Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists and Social Workers. The position of Mental Health Clinician will provide mental health specific clinical assessment and treatment as a case manager, for children, youth and their families and participate in the delivery of the Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS).
The role will work collaboratively with consumers and multi-disciplinary professionals to provide clinical care and a therapeutic environment conducive to the dignity and well-being of consumers and carers within the Mental Health Service.
CYMHS provides a comprehensive, recovery-orientated mental health service that aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people and their carer networks.
Recovery principles are embedded into service delivery, culture and practice, providing consumers and their families, in collaboration with other services, access and referral to a range of interventions that will support and sustain recovery.
CYMHS is a multi-disciplinary, multi-specialty community-based service that also provides an acute response to the Townsville Hospital Emergency Department during office hours.
Generous remuneration package value up to $132,567 p.a.

Salary range of $3030.00 to $4453.50 p.f.
