This innovative initiative offers psychological interventions to adults and children experiencing mental health challenges and is the first program of its kind in Australia.
Inspired by the UK's Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT), Next Step provides disorder-specific, evidence-based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). Due to overwhelming demand, we are expanding our team and seeking an enthusiastic clinician to join us.
About the Role As a Mental Health Clinician, your responsibilities will include:
Providing therapeutic interventions to adults and young people using the IAPT CBT framework.Participating in a comprehensive 12-month training and supervision program delivered in partnership with an external CBT training provider.Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care for service users.Managing a caseload while adhering to best practices in mental health care.This role offers you the chance to develop expertise in evidence-based CBT, work within a supportive team, and make a lasting impact in the community.

About You We are seeking skilled professionals with:
Full registration in one of the following:APHRA as a psychologist (general or clinical).AASW as an accredited mental health social worker.ACMHN as a credentialed mental health nurse.ACA/PACFA as a fully registered counsellor (Master of Counselling).Better Access to Mental Health endorsed occupational therapist.Experience in the mental health sector, working with individuals across the lifespan.Commitment to delivering evidence-based interventions.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent time management and organisational abilities.A sensitive and impartial approach when working with clients and families under stress.Other Requirements: An ACT Working with Vulnerable People card.Willingness to undergo a national police check.How to Apply To apply, please submit the following:
