An exciting fixed-term opportunity is available for a qualified Mental Health Clinician to join our Hospital Outreach Post-Suicidal Engagement (HOPE) program within the Mental Health Directorate at Southwest Healthcare.
About the RoleThe HOPE program provides specialised mental health services to individuals aged 16 and over who have been referred following a suicide attempt or are experiencing acute suicidal ideation.
Our team delivers tailored, evidence-based biological, psychological, and social interventions to support each individual's unique needs and goals over a three-month engagement period.
A proportion of work within the HOPE program will take place outside regular business hours, with shifts scheduled at least one month in advance.
Position Details * Type: Fixed-Term, 64 hours per fortnight until January 2026 * Location: Warrnambool Campus * Classification: Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3, Occupational Therapist Grade 2, Social Worker Grade 2, or Psychologist Grade 2 * Salary Range: $88,030 - $104,811 pro rata, plus superannuation What You BringWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Mental Health Clinician with: * Demonstrated expertise in mental health clinical services within a multidisciplinary team model.
* Knowledge of recovery-oriented practices, trauma-informed care, and current trends, legislation, and policy directions in mental health services.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Qualifications: * Appropriate qualifications in Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy.
* Registration with AHPRA, where required.
* Social Workers must be eligible for registration with AASW.
