Mental Health Clinician - Headspace Canberra

Details of the offer

headspace provides support to young people aged 12-25 experiencing mild to moderate or emerging mental health issues. The multidisciplinary team at headspace Canberra works to improve health, social, vocational, and educational outcomes for young people.
Grand Pacific Health is the lead agency of headspace Canberra. We are a not-for-profit, primary health care organisation providing locally-tailored, high-quality physical and mental health services across NSW and the ACT.
About the position As a Mental Health Clinician, you will work collaboratively with young people and their support systems (including, as appropriate, their family or carers and other service providers) to identify their support needs and goals, and to develop collaborative care plans, ensuring best outcomes are delivered in a youth-friendly context.
You will provide high-quality psycho-social assessment and evidence-based, focused interventions, working closely with the other members of the headspace Canberra teams and external service providers to maximise care outcomes for young people referred to headspace Canberra.
This position is suitable for Mental Health Clinicians with their full APHRA and/or mental health accreditation and have the capacity to bill to the Medicare Benefits Scheme (MBS). We will also consider applicants currently working towards these requirements.

This is a full-time or part-time role, with flexibility over days and hours. Full-time employees have the opportunity to take a Rostered Day Off each month. This role is fixed term until June 2026, which coincides with the review period for Grand Pacific Health's (GPH) headspace contract. Funding for headspace services is generally stable and ongoing. We strongly encourage you to reach out to us with any questions you have about this.
