Mental Health Clinician - Aged Persons Mental Health ServiceMental Health Clinician – Aged Persons Mental Health Service Full Time – Part Time Considered The Service: The Aged Persons Mental Health Service (APMHS) is a community-based service for people aged 65 years and over, with mental illness or who are at risk of developing mental illness, or behavioural difficulties associated with organic disorders of a degenerative nature.APMHS also offers care for people under 65 years who exhibit symptoms of a degenerative diseases.
The Role: In this community based position, clinicians have the opportunity to build a relationship with their patients as they provide recovery focused treatment and support to persons experiencing mental illness throughout all stages of recovery.You will have the ability to apply a broad range of clinical skills through an integrated care model including initial assessment, case management, review and referral. The role may also see you provide service to the older person in our acute mental health In-Patient Unit and the Emergency Department.
APMHS is a complex patient focused service that will see you provide care in and out of the office regularly to meet the needs of your clients who often present with multiple physical co-morbidities.
