If so, we invite you to join our dynamic team as a Nurse Consultant - Mental Health Consultation Liaison Clinician in the Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network (YNLHN).About the Role:As a Nurse Consultant - Mental Health Consultation Liaison Clinician, you will play a pivotal role in providing clinical, educational, and professional mental health services within the Mental Health (MH) Inpatient Services.
Working in partnership with a range of stakeholders across regional South Australia and the Rural and Remote Mental Health Service (RRMHS), you will provide expert consultation and leadership to enhance the quality of mental health care.In this role, you will: Provide expert mental health nursing care and clinical leadership to improve patient outcomes.Mentor and educate staff to build skills in managing mental health consumers and improve service delivery.Take on a leadership role in coordinating projects and programs that enhance clinical practice and service improvement.Ensure accountability for mental health nursing practice and ensure practices align with policies and best practices.Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support recovery-focused care for mental health consumers across a range of settings, including community, acute, and rehabilitation services.
What You'll Bring: Current registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and eligibility for a current practising certificate.A Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent).At least 3 years of post-registration experience in mental health nursing.Demonstrated expertise in mental health nursing, with strong leadership and supervision skills.Experience working with Aboriginal consumers and a commitment to providing culturally sensitive care.Proven ability to mentor, lead, and support multidisciplinary teams in mental health settings.
