Job DescriptionIf you consider yourself a serial tinkerer, please come bring the vision of our Men's Shed to life! We are seeking a lead volunteer and one or two team members who are passionate about connecting with Male Residents to create a Men's Shed-like gathering on-site at our Dementia Village in Caulfield. If you have an interest in D.I.Y. projects, gardening, getting outdoors for a walk, woodwork, mechanics, or sitting to have a cuppa and a chat, then this role is for you! Your Impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit and for yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
Requirements18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare plus NDIS Worker Screening Check.
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one-hour visit between 9 am and 4 pm Monday to Friday; visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
