About the OpportunityNQDVRS is looking for a part-time Men's Behavioural Change Practitioner based in Mount Isa, QLD.
This role is pivotal in supporting the effective delivery of Men's Behaviour Change programs under the guidance of the Team Leader. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, facilitating group sessions, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure a coordinated response to men who use violence.
Key Responsibilities: Providing information and referral to participants of the Men's Behaviour Change programPerforming intake and assessments to determine suitability for group participationFacilitating group sessions using the Duluth model and curriculumLiaising with Women's Advocates and other stakeholders for risk assessment and information sharingConducting court-related advocacy and informing male respondents about their rights and responsibilitiesPreparing reports and maintaining accurate client recordsParticipating in community education and networking activities to raise awarenessAbout YouTo qualify, you will need a tertiary qualification in a relevant human services discipline and a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a similar role. Experience in facilitating group work with clients who have complex needs is highly desirable. Additionally, you must have:
