Job DescriptionThis role leads a team of Cabin Cleaning staff and assists the Duty Managers in the delivery of cabin cleaning services to Airline customers.
Service Delivery • Deliver Cabin Cleaning services on behalf of Star Aviation customers ensuring compliance and safety regulations are met to the highest standards at all times
• Leads cleaning in the correct application of skills and processes.
• Ensure that KPIs / timesheets are accurate / complete final check and sign-off ahead of client invoicing
• Undertakes briefing sessions pre and post shifts recording relevant information
• Maintains Cabin Cleaning service performance standards.
• Represent both the Airline and Star to the highest level ensuring customer satisfaction
• Prepares and completes each shifts operational, Safety, GSE and other Summary Reports as directly relating to services undertaken during that shift
• Liaises with Airline representatives for specific requirements that may arise from time to time
• Arranges the delivery of lost property items to Airline representatives.
Management of GSE • Ensure the safe and secure operation of all equipment and associated costs for repair and maintenance
• Report equipment malfunction to the Head of Cabin Cleaning, and where appropriate, take action to restore equipment to correct operational standards
• Test all relevant equipment for serviceability before commencement of every shift. Record results
Workforce Planning • Lead optimal operational efficiency through effective planning and management of manpower.
• Manage team status to arrange replacements or redeployments.
• Ensure that there is consistent, proactive planning to achieve the right number of people are skilled and trained in the various disciplines.
• Allocates and rotates staff to/on Aircrafts for cleaning.
• Counter- signs time sheets at the end of each shift.
• Coordinates breaks and other absences from the shift.
People Management • Lead by example at all times
• Work as part of the team operationally ensuring compliance with the contractual obligations
• Ensure yourself and your team act in accordance Star Aviation guidelines and appropriate and professional standard
• Drive a safety culture through your team, ensuring compliance with both the Airline, Airport and Star Aviation requirements
• Addresses and resolves unacceptable behavioural / performance occurrences within the team. Reports non-compliant workplace behaviour to the Head of Cabin Cleaning
• Identify and resolve problems and conflict at ground level
• Deliver training to the relevant standards ensuring staff are competent in their roles
• Reports skill/knowledge gaps to the Head of Cabin Cleaning
• Uses approved Performance Document forms to record relevant incidents where required. Submits records to Head of Cabin Cleaning for delivery to personnel file
Desired Skills and ExperiencePrior experience leading and managing a team. A valid provisional or full driver license.A valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).A valid Authority to Drive Airside Card (ADA).Senior First Aid Training. Skills Competent in the operational requirements of Ground HandlingUnderstanding of the Aviation Industry.Excellent organisational and time management skills.Strong ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines.Customer focus to deliver exceptional service.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations.Able to work well in a fast-paced team environment.Health and Safety Training.Ability to resolve conflicts.Capable of Incident Report writing, in plain and clear English.
