Pullman Port Douglas Sea Temple Resort & Spa , located in the picturesque town of Port Douglas, just an hour's drive north of Cairns, offers a range of accommodations including studios, two and three-bedroom apartments, and a three-bedroom beach front private villa.
Our resort offers all-day dining at ALUCO Restaurant & Bar, a relaxing Pool Bar, and Vie Spa with customised facial treatments and relaxing massages leaving guests renewed and revitalised.
With two meeting rooms accommodating up to 200 guests and three additional wedding locations at the resort, we cater to both leisure and corporate travellers alike.
During your down time, explore all that the region has to offer, from the Great Barrier Reef to the Daintree Rainforest.
Purpose As the Meeting & Events Manager, you will be the driving force behind the successful planning, execution, and management of meetings and events and play a crucial role in maximising revenue, ensuring the success of such gatherings.
Building and managing relationships with clients to drive return business will be at the core of your responsibilities.
The Role Salary of $75,000 - $80,000 + Super experienced based Subsidised Staff Accommodation available within a share house within close proximity, if required Showcase Your Talent: Step into a dynamic role where your expertise in Meetings & Events will truly shine Primary Responsibilities Achieve sales targets by promoting and selling meeting and event spaces, packages, and services to potential clients Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, event planners, and organisers to secure bookings and encourage repeat business Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and opportunities in the meeting and events industry Develop and implement effective sales strategies, pricing models, and promotional campaigns Create tailored event proposals and finalise contracts with clients, including terms, pricing, and event details Collaborate with event planning and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution Review and analyse client feedback and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance future events Skills and Experience Leadership experience within the Meeting & Events sector in a Hotel environment is highly regarded Creativity is key for designing unique event experiences and finding innovative solutions to challenges that may arise Proficiency in budgeting, cost estimation, and financial management Confident in negotiating with suppliers, vendors, and clients to establish favourable terms that benefit all parties involved A strategic mindset, adept at orchestrating a wide range of events You foster a can-do approach with impeccable attention to detail and exceptional time management skills Flexible availability to accommodate various shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required Accor Benefits ALL Heartist Membership - Take advantage of discounts on accommodation and food & beverage worldwide!
