The Medico-legal officer is responsible for the efficient release of personal health information for medico-legal purposes in particular litigation, police requests, subpoenas, copies of clinical records, requests for medical reports summary of injuries, Health Care Complaints Commission (HCCC), Coroner's requests and Search warrants. You will be responsible for obtaining relevant fees and consents/authority where applicable, photocopying and scanning of documents and liaising with internal and external customers and ensuring that patient privacy is maintained as per relevant policies and procedures. About you: We are seeking a skilled and energetic individual who possess a passion for person centred care. We are looking for a fast learner who is looking to grow and develop their skills in the role to become an integral part of the team. Demonstrated understanding of the need to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality 6. Excellent computer and data entry skills with great attention to detail. 7. Previous clerical experience in a health or legal environment 8. Demonstrated initiative and ability to problem solve, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and adapt to a changing environment.
