Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health & Community Services is Canberra's only Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service. Located in the heart of Canberra at our recently purpose-built clinic and offices in Narrabundah, we provide trusted holistic healthcare to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities of the ACT and surrounding areas.
This newly created role of Medicare Officer will play a key role in supporting the operations of the health service. Key responsibilities include:
Provide timely and accurate administration of MBS processes Optimise claims and returns Track related service patterns and provide reports Ensure accurate financial records Stay up-to-date with changes to the MBS Help upskill other staff Assist with improvement in processes and systems. Skills and Qualities we are looking for:
Must have experience in MBS processes, preferably in a GP or Primary healthcare setting Attention to detail Good interpersonal and communication skills Capacity to work effectively, positively and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team. What we offer in return:
