The Medical Workforce Unit at St George Hospital, Kogarah is seeking a motivated individual to join our refreshed recruitment team as a Medical Workforce Recruitment Officer. This is a fast-paced and varied role which will expose you to many aspects of Medical Workforce operations at a large tertiary hospital. It is a great grounding for a future career in health administration, recruitment or human resource management. The department supports our junior doctors from the beginning of their careers through to completion of their advanced training. You will be responsible for processing junior medical recruitment episodes in our recruitment and onboarding system and making the process as seamless as possible for our convenors and candidates. An understanding of or experience within NSW Health or other public health sector recruitment (especially medical recruitment and recruitment systems) will be an advantage, as would experience or understanding of doctors, internal recruitment and/or agency recruitment. Responsible for providing administrative support for a variety of tasks required within Medical Workforce Unit ranging from Junior Medical Officer Recruitment (both Annual Medical Recruitment Campaign and adhoc), assisting with onboarding new doctors, assisting with rosters, data entry, and requirement to cover the other Medical Workforce Unit Officers in times of leave or absence & additional workload shortages. Minimum Requirements:

Demonstrated experience in human resource administration and recruitment (mainly for Junior Medical Officers). Experience in recruitment, writing, managing rosters, leave and payroll enquiries. Knowledge in the use of recruitment management and rostering software and systems. Demonstrated excellent customer service skills. Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Ability to positively contribute to a high functioning team environment. Demonstrated experience and ability in computer-based software packages, such as Health Roster, StaffLink and Microsoft Office products (Access, Word and Excel). Demonstrated time management skills, data entry accuracy & ability to organise and prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines.
