The Medical Workforce Support Unit (MWSU) advises the Executive Director of Medical Services on employment within Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.
MWSU oversees recruitment, onboarding, and credentialing of medical staff, ensuring compliance with governance standards while focusing on a sustainable medical workforce for CQ Health.
About the role: Collaborate and communicate through the CQHHS Medical and Dental Appointments and Credentialing Committee (MDACC) to consider and assess new applications and appointments, renewals and reviews of Scope of Clinical Practice, including maintaining an accurate database of applications and decisions.Maintain the credentialing database (C.Gov) which monitors review and renewal of scope of clinical practice for all Senior and Visiting Medical Officers and Dentists, to ensure accurate records are maintained and audits are completed in line with CQHHS policy and procedure.About you:
There are no mandatory qualifications required for this role, however the ideal applicant will demonstrate:
Understanding and knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire understanding and knowledge of policies, procedures, frameworks and legislative requirements that govern medical credentialing.Effective consultation, negotiation, interpersonal, and both written and oral communication skills with personnel at all levels of Queensland Health and external organisations.Ability to proactively plan, establish work priorities and function with a high degree of independence, whilst meeting deadlines and working as an effective team member.Demonstrated high level of attention to detail, analysis of data and ability to identify issues that require resolution or escalation.What we offer: Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $114,177 p.a.
