Women's and Children's Health Network, Division of Paediatric Medicine, North Adelaide (5006)Salary/Classification - ASO2 - Administrative Services Officer L2 - $58,709 to $63,154Employment Part time - Ongoing PermanentAbout the Opportunity We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Medical Wards team as a Ward Clerk, where you will be responsible for:
Providing a friendly and professional front-line ward service to the department.Maintaining and preparing patient files/folders/noticeboards for admissions.Liaising regularly throughout the day with the shift coordinator, NUM/ANUM and ward staff regarding patient movements, admissions, discharges, and appointments as required.Maintaining accurate patient data on all patient information systems, for example SUNRISE and OACIS.Providing an administrative assistant support service to the Nurse Unit Manager and other staff as required, e.g.
word processing, minute taking.Attending to, screening and appropriately directing telephone calls.About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous administrative / clerical experience and familiarity with the use of windows and Microsoft Office products, e.g.
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.Provide a consultancy and advisory service to management and staff at all levels to establish and maintain both integrity and confidentiality in dealing with issues of a sensitive nature.Work independently and under limited direction to meet deadlines and achieve agreed outputs whilst working with demanding and sometimes competing priorities.The ability to work effectively in a team and being able to communicate, both verbally and in writing, to a wide range of people on a range of sensitive and complex issues.Ability to deal with situations, staff and patients with maturity and empathy.Good working knowledge of Medical Terminology.What WCHN Can Offer You Relocation financial support may be negotiated, subject to eligibility.Salary package a range of benefits (including living expenses such as mortgage, rent, utility bills and groceries) up to $9,010 each FBT year + $2,650 for Meal Entertainment expenses each FBT year.Access to Fitness Passport (workplace health and fitness program that gives you and your family access to a wide choice of gyms and pools across South Australia.
