Medical Receptionist / Administration Officer

NT Cardiac Pty Ltd (NTC) is a Northern Territory owned and operated independent Cardiology Medical Practice which provides services to both public and private patients. The practice is dedicated to providing excellence in patient care, delivering the highest standard of health care across the Northern Territory.
Our specialist practice requires an energetic and motivated team member to fill a full-time Medical Receptionist / Administration Officer position. The Medical Receptionist / Administration Officer will be the key point of contact for administrative matters concerning our specialists. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Answering the telephone system, including responding to patient enquiriesScheduling appointments for new and existing patientsProviding information about procedures to patientsPreparation of patient files and assistance with preparation of consultants' clinicsMeeting and greeting patientsFacilitating patient billing and taking paymentsPreparation and distribution of medical correspondence to referring medical providersAd-hoc administrative dutiesThis position also provides opportunities for further advancement and responsibilities for the successful applicant.
The successful applicant will possess computer literacy skills, excellent communication and organisational skills, and thrive in a fast paced environment.
This position would suit applicants with good interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail and works well in both a team environment and independently.
Successful applicants will require full working rights in Australia and undergo a police and working with children check.
