Bayside Family Medical & Musculoskeletal Practice is a busy, dedicated family general practice located in Glenelg. We are seeking a Medical Receptionist/Administration Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our friendly team. You will be the welcoming face and voice of our practice, providing exceptional customer service to our patients and their families.
The position is initially for 12 months maternity leave cover of approximately 48 hours per fortnight, with ongoing hours available after this.
Key responsibilities:
Greeting patients and visitors on arrivalAssisting with enquiries and booking appointmentsAnswering a high volume of phone callsProcessing patient payments and Medicare Bulk BillingsScanning and allocating incoming correspondenceHandling incoming and outgoing faxesAccurate data entry and record keepingMaintaining patient privacy at all timesWorking collaboratively with the clinical teamOther administrative tasks as required The person we're looking for:
Exceptional customer service skills Warm, friendly and professional mannerExcellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational abilities and attention to detailAbility to multitask and prioritise tasks in an ever changing environmentDemonstrated initiative and willingness to learnAbility to work both autonomously and in a team environmentConfident computer skillsFlexible availability and willingness to help cover sick and holiday leaveNeat and professional presentationPrevious experience in reception, customer service or administration roles Knowledge of Best Practice software, Tyro and HICAPS is highly desirable but not essential, as all necessary training will be provided.
