CDU is the only Northern Territory (NT) based university and as a place-based regional university it is deeply embedded in our local communities and is planning to deliver a new medical program in 2026 that is tailored specifically to the needs of our local community. The purpose is to establish a medical program at CDU to graduate and retain more First Nations and local resident doctors in the NT to serve the NT community.
As the Medical Program Administrative Assistant, you will provide a wide range of administrative, clerical and project assistance to the Dean and Medical Program Manager including supporting the admissions process, supporting teaching and learning activities and other duties as required to support the implementation and running of the medical program.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
Minimum of Certificate III in Business Administration or a related area, with extensive relevant work experience OR an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training. Previous experience in administrative support roles, preferably in an academic or healthcare environment, with knowledge of university policies and procedures. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in office software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive information and documentation. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving. Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 4. The base salary will be in the range of $67,800 to $72,078 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $79,326 to $84,331 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
