At the heart of the organisation is the Primary Health Care Centre at Injinoo, an accredited General Practice, delivering services to 5 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Discover the local rivers and swimming holes as well as beautiful white sand beaches, while the nearby rainforest provides endless opportunities for walking, exploration and bird watching.About the Opportunity:This organisation is looking for a General Practitioner to work within a cohesive and integrated team. The General Practitioner provides a high standard of patient care whilst incorporating a holistic approach towards diagnosis and management of illness. This position will demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting health, wellbeing and disease prevention, working in collaboration with local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers.About You:To be successful in this role you will have:Tertiary qualification in Medicine with current unrestricted specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)FRACGP or FACRRM FellowshipCurrent Medical Indemnity InsuranceExperience in or a demonstrated commitment to improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomesWillingness and ability to accommodate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander values and traditions including willingness to take advice from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff.It is a condition of employment for this position that the employee be vaccinated against COVID-19 in accordance with the Workers in a Healthcare Setting (COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements) Direction.About the Benefits:If you are looking for a change of pace, a change of lifestyle or are seeking a new adventure, this may be the role for you.
