Women's and Children's Health Network, Safety & Quality Unit, North Adelaide (5006) Salary Classification - MD2 - Consultant / Senior Consultant - $227,591 to $299,884 Part Time (0.4 FTE) - Term Contract About the Opportunity We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Safety and Quality team as a Medical Lead, Safety and Quality, where you will be responsible for:
Assisting with ensuring that the culture, clinical systems, and practices align with and facilitate the delivery of excellent, evidence-based care.
Contributing to the Network's Safety and Quality performance and managing patient safety systems alongside other members of the Safety and Quality (SQ) team, including participating in quality management initiatives.
Drawing on clinical competencies and working closely with the Executive Director of Medical Services and other Executive Team members to optimize clinical governance, quality, and safety across the Network.
Collaborating with a range of stakeholders across the WCHN to promote a safe, high-quality, continuous improvement culture, enhancing the Network's reputation for safety and quality excellence.
Working strategically and collaboratively with senior leadership to understand their business and develop a detailed clinical approach addressing the needs of consumers, stakeholders, and communities for various safety and quality initiatives and processes.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
Demonstrated strong leadership skills and an ability to motivate and inspire others to work together as a team to achieve objectives.
Demonstrated high level interpersonal and leadership skills that foster credibility, trust and co-operation at senior levels.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, develop innovative solutions, and negotiate successful outcomes in a resourceful manner Demonstrated knowledge of public health system operations, particularly as they related to acute and primary health care services across the continuum of care.
