About the role An opportunity has become available for a Full Time Evening Shift Medical Scientist to join the team based at our core Histopathology Laboratory in Subiaco, Western Australia.
Your role will be to participate in the day-to-day operation of the laboratory, working as part of a dedicated evening shift team. Duties include routine histology techniques, IHC, special stains, and specimen preparation and cut up. There is also a strong requirement to be involved in maintenance of instrumentation and equipment and compliance with accreditation and quality assurance requirements. The preferred applicants will be team-focused, flexible, punctual, self-motivated, display initiative, and be able to work with minimal supervision.
Required Skills and Qualifications Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or an AIMS accredited equivalent as a minimum. Proof of relevant experience and qualification in Histology. Proof of accredited cut up experience. High attention to detail and experience working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to multitask and successfully work as part of a team. Exceptional communication, time management & organisational skills. The ability to contribute towards the delivery of customer-focused services. Demonstrated supervision of staff would be beneficial. Have own transport and be able to take part in working rostered weekend and public holidays as required. Applicants must address the criteria above in their application.
