What does a Medical Kit Device Assembler do?
This is a hands-on position that involves putting together the surgical kits that get sent to the hospital to be used during surgery.
For every surgery, the surgeon requires a specific set of medical instruments and tools to carry out the operation.
A kit may include orthopaedic implants, surgical power tools or reusable instruments.
Post-surgery, the kit gets sent back to the Kit Room where the team checks off the items and makes sure that they are safe to be reissued.
ABOUT THE ROLE: Part-time and full-time opportunities available based in North-West Perth.
Expertly assemble orthopaedic kits for both planned and emergency surgeries Thoroughly inspect outgoing and incoming kit instrumentation, noting repairs or replacements needed Maintain records of stock and kit documentation, including order acknowledgments, checklists, usage sheets, packing slips, and delivery notes Collaborate with Medical Device Sales Representatives, Surgeons, Doctors, and Nurses Work closely with a team to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of medical kits to the hospital, and inspect returned instruments and tools for reissuing Maintain flexibility with working hours to meet job demands ABOUT YOU: Full working rights in Australia, required.
