Women's and Children's Health Network, Women's and Babies Division, North Adelaide (5006) Salary Classification - MD2 - Consultant / Senior Consultant - $227,591 to $299,884 Up to full time - Term Contract - Multiple positions About the Opportunity We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Obstetrics team as a Medical Consultant, where you will be responsible for: providing high quality medical services in all-risk Obstetric model.
contributing to the provision of outpatient antenatal services (including women's assessment service), elective caesarean section birthing services and supervision of activity.
Duties may involve teaching as the supervising consultant for elective gynaecology operating.
contributing to team-work within a multidisciplinary environment for optimal clinical service outcomes and be an active participant in research and teaching at all levels of training for TMOs as required.
participating in the afterhours Obstetrics on call roster.
participating in regular Perinatal Morbidity and Mortality review process and participate in quality improvement processes.
co-ordinating regular ongoing education within the division with a focus on safety and quality.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to: Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist (FRANZCOG) or within 6 months.
A demonstrated working experience in the field of all risk Obstetrics Experience in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships both internally and externally What WCHN Can Offer You Relocation financial support may be negotiated, subject to eligibility.
