Total Indicative Remuneration is inclusive of Award Salary, Superannuation, any relevant allowance and any other monetary benefits Employment Part time (0.5 FTE) – 3 Month Contract until 20 December 2024 About the Opportunity Exciting opportunities exist within 3D (Disability Services) Team in the Access Assistant Program to join us as a Medical Consultant - Part time (0.5 FTE) until 20 December 2024.
In this role, you will:
Provide high quality community based services to children and young people in educational settings, and for ensuring that clients' functional levels are maintained in a community setting using evidence based best practice. Facilitate a seamless transition from the hospital to the community and assist the child or young person's education provider in meeting the child's needs through the Access Assistant Program. Provide consultancy, information and relevant training, and liaise with other service providers working with children and young people with disability/complex health needs, and their families. Support education and research within Disability Services and encourage and support teamwork amongst staff for optimal clinical service outcomes. About You You should have Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent with Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, ie; FRACGP, FRACP, FAChPM, RACP, or another specialist qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Knowledge of contemporary practice and research in relation to Disability Clinical experience in child, adolescent or community health medical management Clinical experience in holistic disability management Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships both internally and externally.
