Medical Billing/Medical Reception

Randstad Ballarat is hiring Medical Billing and Receptionist professionals for a 8 month assignment in Ballarat, paying upto $40/hr + super - Full time hours - 38hrs/week

About the Role:
You will manage the efficient, timely, and accurate assessment and processing of billing outcomes for service fees, meeting performance and statutory obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely data entry into our system.
Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
Process payments and issue receipts, ensuring accurate documentation.
Accurately process medical claims for Medicare, private health funds, and other third-party insurers.
Review and reconcile accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve billing issues.
Submit claims, follow up on outstanding payments, and address any rejected claims.
Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely coding and billing.
Assist patients with billing inquiries and payment plans, as necessary.
Manage phone lines, answer inquiries, and schedule appointments.

Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in medical billing and/or medical reception (Desirable).
Knowledge of medical billing software and Medicare procedures (Desirable).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Familiarity with medical terminology, billing codes, and regulations (preferred).
Proficiency in MS Office and medical practice management software.

Please note to be successful in the role the candidate will need to meet the below criteria:

Must be willing to work ONSITE all 5 days.
