Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Medical Associate to join our newly established Medical Affairs team.
Due to this position's remote nature, the successful applicant can be located in any Australian state or territory.
You will support various medical affairs initiatives, contribute to scientific communications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance our organisation's medical strategy.
This role is responsible for assessing, understanding and managing the utilisation of medical and scientific information in the Medicinal Cannabis Industry focusing on Chronic Pain, Insomnia/Anxiety/Depression and PTSD/Aged care.
Support the medical affairs team in planning and executing various projects and initiatives.
Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and analyse scientific data to inform medical strategies.
Assist in developing accurate and compelling medical communications and educational materials for healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, regulatory affairs, and marketing.
Participate in medical conferences and events, representing the company and gathering insights.
Support ongoing clinical trials and research initiatives by providing medical expertise.
Contribute to the development and implementation of medical strategies aligned with organisational goals.
Stay updated on the latest medical advancements and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
Qualifications The ideal applicant will be someone who is ready to grow this role from the ground up.
You will be someone who loves a challenge as well as being a team player who is willing to work cross-functionally.
Advanced tertiary qualification in a scientific discipline (PharmD, MD, PhD preferred).
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Medical Affairs or Clinical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry, coupled with comprehensive knowledge of drug development and clinical research.
Ability to develop and maintain expert knowledge in assigned therapeutic areas and medical research.
Fluency in written and oral English, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality presentations.
Unwavering commitment to customer service, compliance with relevant regulations, and adherence to scientific quality and integrity standards.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and develop relationships with key external stakeholders and the healthcare community.
Demonstrated capacity to work independently with minimal oversight while efficiently facilitating and supporting medical and clinical activities across various functions.
Exceptional judgment, strategic planning abilities, and organisational skills, coupled with a proven ability to execute tasks with a strong sense of urgency.
Willingness to travel as required for conferences and meetings.
