The Role
This is a critical team-based role responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of NIIM clinic.
Based in Hawthorn, you will report to the Practice Manager - NIIM and be responsible for providing high-quality medical administration (including reception), exceptional customer service and general all-around admin support to patients, and practitioners (GPs and Allied Health Professionals).
Key requirements of the role include:
Answering the phones, attending to enquiries and scheduling medical appointments Assisting practitioners with a range of administrative support including billings Responsibility for handling confidential information and medical records Providing exceptional customer service to patients and practitioners Taking responsibility for improving the patient experience survey results by providing friendly and professional customer service and care Being committed to continuous improvement for systems and processes Working collaboratively with all stakeholders (patients, practitioners and colleagues) Taking initiative, being proactive, innovative and committed to high-quality outcomes
To be successful for this role, you will have:
A minimum of 3+ years' medical administration, including reception experience Meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organisational, planning and multi-tasking skills The ability to coordinate competing priorities High-level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholder groups Knowledge of Medicare, DVA and proficiency with MS Office (Best Practice desirable) A passion, knowledge of or interest in integrative medicine (favourable)
