About Us: We are a Central Coast Orthopaedic Specialty Group practice espousing excellence in surgery and rehabilitation. Our team of highly skilled surgeons and healthcare professionals is committed to excellence in medical practice and patient satisfaction. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Administrator to join our team.
Position Overview: The Medical Administrator will be responsible for managing the administrative operations of the practice, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day functioning. This role requires a proactive and organized individual with excellent communication and multitasking skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors, schedule appointments, manage calendars, handle inquiries, and maintain accurate, confidential patient records.
Provide administrative support to medical staff, coordinate meetings, prepare materials, and manage office supplies and equipment.
Liaise with patients, referrers, hospitals, insurers, ADF, and other stakeholders.
Maintain and update electronic health records, ensure compliance with data protection regulations, and generate and analyze operational reports.
Work with our outsourced billers to ensure all procedures are accurately invoiced.
Act as a liaison between patients, medical staff, and external stakeholders, manage communications, and coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments.
Work collaboratively with medical and administrative staff, provide training and support to new staff, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

Relevant qualification in medical administration or related field.
2-3 years' experience in a medical administrative role, preferably within an orthopaedic or specialist practice.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $74,000+ Superannuation
