Department for Health and Wellbeing – Corporate Services – Corporate Communications BranchSalary: $67,589 to $72,033 – ASO3 – Full Time / Term Contract up to 12 months with possibility of extension Overview:The SA Health Media Unit coordinates all media responses, interviews and press conferences for the Department for Health and Wellbeing and South Australian public health system including local health networks, the Rural Support Service and shared services including Breast Screen SA, SA Dental, SA Medical Imaging and SA Pathology.Working in a fast-paced environment as part of a supportive team, our Media Support Officer is responsible for supporting the delivery of comprehensive strategic media and communications services for SA Health.You'll work closely with journalists and the policy makers, doctors, nurses and health executives which make a difference, while based at the Department for Health and Wellbeing's office in Hindmarsh Square, Adelaide.With responsibilities for both administrative duties within our team and end-to-end media services, it's ideally suited to a new graduate willing to learn and grow through great training and mentoring.
Our ideal candidate will be a values-led team player with strong writing and communication skills, backed by a degree in communications, public relations, media or a related field.
Experience in delivering press releases, media events or journalism and working closely with a variety of people will be viewed favourably.
