It provides quality, customer-focused services to landholders and the community across New South Wales. This regionally based organisation brings together a wide range of service and advisory functions including agriculture, biosecurity, natural resource management, land management, biodiversity, emergency services, private native forestry and management of Travelling Stock Reserves (TSR).

About the role Working in the office of the LLS CEO, this role offers an opportunity for a media professional to manage and drive strategic media initiatives, foster meaningful engagement, support the communication goals of the organization and manage a small media and public affairs team.
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Media Manager to lead the development and delivery of proactive and reactive media activities. This pivotal role involves shaping media strategies that effectively communicate key messages, enhance stakeholder engagement, and ensure consistent, aligned narratives across traditional and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities: Media Strategy Development: Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive media strategies to engage target audiences and amplify key messages across multiple channels, ensuring consistency and alignment with broader regional objectives.Content Creation & Management: Develop and deliver high-quality content for traditional media and online platforms, ensuring regular and strategic communication with key audiences.Media Opportunities & Calendar Management: Proactively identify media opportunities and manage a forward-looking calendar to maximize coverage, visibility, and awareness.Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, ministerial offices, government agencies, and key internal stakeholders to facilitate timely and impactful media activity.Team Leadership & Operations: Lead the media team, ensuring efficient processes are in place to support timely and effective media responses, including managing contentious issues under tight deadlines.Our Ideal Candidate: Thrives while managing competing priorities and stakeholder expectations while delivering media responses to tight deadlines.Has experience developing and implementing media strategies that address complex, high-stakes issues, supporting the Department's policies and objectives through effective use of media and communication tools.Is open to after hours, on-call and weekend work when required on occasion.Applying is Easy!
